Our privacy policy

At Hoopo®, we only process data necessary for (improving) our services and handle the information we collect with care. We never make your data available for third parties' commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services associated with it provided by Hoopo®. The effective date is 01-10-2020. With the publication of a new version, all previous versions expire.

Data processing

Online store software

Our online store runs on Shopify. Personal data you share with us is shared with them for technical support. Lightspeed does not use your data for other purposes and is required to provide appropriate security (including SSL encryption).

Email and mailing lists

Confirmation emails and newsletters are sent via Mailchimp and Zendesk. Your data is stored securely and not used for other purposes. At the bottom of every email, you will find the unsubscribe link.

Payment providers

We use a payment provider for payments. It processes your name, address and payment details securely and does not retain data longer than legally permitted.

Shipping and logistics

To carry out deliveries, we share your name, address and city with our distribution center. This data is used solely to perform the agreement.

External sales channels

If you leave items in your shopping cart, you may receive a reminder email. You can always unsubscribe via the unsubscribe link.

Purpose of data processing

We use your data solely for the purpose of providing our services and not for targeted marketing without your explicit consent. Data is only shared with third parties to comply with administrative or legal obligations.

Automatically collected data

When you use our website, we automatically collect data (such as IP address, browser and operating system) to improve our services. This is not personal data.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are a customer. After termination, we only retain what is legally required (e.g. invoice data). Other data is deleted or anonymized.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we process.
  • Rectification of incorrect data.
  • Restriction of processing.
  • Data portability.
  • Object to processing.
  • Erasure (deletion of your data).
