Maintenance and cleaning

Our tips for keeping the Hydr Fountain fresh and clean:

  • Weekly: Clean all parts with a mild, eco-friendly soapy solution.
  • Filter: Replace every 10 days.
  • Every 2–3 weeks: Rinse the fountain with natural cleaning vinegar to prevent limescale buildup.
  • Pump filter: Also clean the small plastic filter on the underside of the pump with white vinegar or an eco-friendly soapy solution.
  • Charging: Charge the fountain every 14 days using the included USB cable.

This keeps the water pure for your cat at all times and helps the pump last longer!

This is why your cat does not drink very much

Cats do not drink very much because they originally lived in dry regions. Your cat's ancestors got their moisture from their prey and did not need much water! That is why your cat naturally has few thirst signals. Of course, your house cat has a different diet from a wild cat. Therefore, it should drink more. Hydr encourages your cat to drink more often. This is good for every cat, and especially for cats with kidney problems or bladder stones.

30-day trial

Cats are picky, and you probably are too. That is why you can try our products at home for 30 days. If the product is not quite right for either of you, you can return it free of charge within 30 days and get your money back.

Is that running water I hear?

Running water makes me want to drink. I find it such a lovely sound. Hydr feels just like a soft, flowing stream. I can drink from it without my whiskers bumping into anything. Plus, I love fresh, clean water. Just like you! With this drinking fountain, that's sorted. I also think it's really relaxing that the Hydr fountain barely makes a sound. At least it won't get on our nerves! Do you already know which colour you're going for?

Drink more with Hydr

Did you know cats love to drink from running water? That's because a cat associates running water with water that's nice and clean. Hydr refreshes the water every half hour, so even the fussiest cat has nothing to complain about. Plus, Hydr is flat on top, so your cat's whiskers won't keep bumping into anything.

Hydr is cordless and whisper-quiet (30 dB). This lets your cat drink undisturbed, while you're not bothered by any annoying noise. Hydr has a generous capacity of 1.8 litres and a battery life of up to 14 days. That makes this fountain wonderfully relaxed for everyone in the house.

Automatic circulation Whisper-quiet (30dB)

The best hygiene for your cat, convenience for you!

What makes Hydr unique is that this drinking fountain works with double filtration. The water is cleaned with a 4-channel filter and a bacteria-killing UVC lamp. What's more, the water is refreshed every half hour. You'd almost want to drink from this fountain yourself. You can easily charge the Hydr fountain's battery with the included USB cable. The cordless design gives it a tidy look and stops your cat running off with a cable. Plus, you're completely free to place the fountain wherever suits your cat!

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the Hydr

hydrzwart FAQ mobilehydrzwart FAQ
Is Hydr handy when I go on holiday?

Hydr is certainly handy when you go on holiday. Your cat is effortlessly provided with clean water. Hydr keeps the water moving automatically, so it stays fresh. However, someone should keep an eye on making sure there's always enough water in the reservoir. Especially on warm days. Ask someone to top up the water regularly so the pump keeps working properly. Also always make sure there's a backup, so there are enough water sources available for your cat.

How long do the filters of the Hydr fountain last?

You replace the filters of the Hydr fountain every 10 days. You can easily order them from Hoopo, in packs of 5.

My Hydr pump has reached the end of its life. Do I need to replace Hydr now?

No, that's not necessary! If you're happy with Hydr, you can order the Hydr replacement pump from Hoopo. That way you don't have to replace the entire fountain.
